Got an interview at a place I’ve been wanting to get a job at for a while! Hoping I get to the next stage of interviews, but for now I’m just waiting!
Worked a lot more on the one shot campaign I want to run. Some of this involved just practicing silly voices in private and its been fun. Realized I have a very good ginger bread man voice from Shrek. The rest was just more work on the pacing of what I want the players to do and I’m excited to get this to a place where I feel good about it!
With my wrapped for the year coming back mostly the same as last year, I all of a sudden had an urge to listen to a bunch of albums this week!
First on the list was Cameron Winter’s first solo album ‘Heavy Metal’. I really liked this one! Winter’s lyricism, while just a little bit silly at times, feels prety thoughtful. And the instrumentals! Wow! Loved loved ‘Cancer of the Skull’ and ‘Nausicaa (Love Will Be Revealed) in particular. It’s been on my rotation for most of the week.
Fully listened to Vylet Pony’s latest album, ‘Love & Ponystep’! Something worth considering before listening to the album, is reading the write up Vylet did on Bandcamp about what she was going through during the making of said album. Hearing about her journey of rebuilding her life after realizing how her mental issues affected the people she loved resonated with me a lot!
Got through ‘LP!’ by JPEGMAFIA. Really good! Only ever fully listened to ‘Scaring the Hoes’ before and I don’t like his newer work so this was a nice surprise—
Listened to ‘Melancholy Brunettes and Sad Women’ by Japanese Breakfast. It was a good listen and made me feel like a melancholy brunnette and/or sad woman.
Naturally kept playing Etrian Oddyssey 2 Untold! Finished the first floor of the basement and am almost done with the second stratum 💪
Reapers Gale is insanely good. Lethar is my favourite of the 3 settings at this point. Erikson pulled another death of a character who had 3 pages of screentime and I teared up a bit. He’s great at getting me emotionally connected to characters. RIP Abasard.
