Ran into an old friend at boxing this week :0. Turns out the best way to reconnect with people is with your fists.
Ended up going to cafeโs pretty much every day of the week. Hit up some places I havenโt been to in a while! Twas very fun.
Huge progress on an article Iโve been working on. Got into a flow state on the topic alone :)
Maybe possibly booking a trip for this summer,, who knows,, maybe a little flight towards the east,,
Finally decided to add a poetry section to this website!! I will be slowly posting my poetry there, no matter how embarassing I might think it is.
Toll the Hounds keeps on ruining me. Chapter 11 was so damn beautiful. โNo, for Harllo childhood was over. Aged six.โ so so devastating. And the rest of the chapter? Super funny with Leff and Scorch as usual. Insanely tense as the assassins close in on the retired Bridgeburners. So much good to talk about with this chapter!
I have been adoring Ghost of Tsushima this past week. Normally, open world games arenโt really my thing. Stuff like Horizon, or Assassinโs Creed ends up boring me very quickly. Ghost of Tsushima has a somewhat similar style to those two, but alleviates my problems by way of gameplay, visuals, and story. Gameplay, while not too complex, lends well to the whole power fantasy of being a samurai. Enemies cower as your notoriety rises up, with some kills causing them to stagger in awe of Jin. The lighting is unmatched. Ghost stance switching to Kurosawa-esque aesthetics might be the coolest thing ever. And the main story / side stories all have this theme of the meaning behind having โhonorโ when your opponent has none and reflecting on past mistakes??? Right up my alley. ๐ถ
