Volunteered as an extra at a buddies film set! Ended up running into some friends I wasnโt expecting there as extras too :). Super interesting seeing how the lighting was manipulated thanks to the tools at hand by the crew. Also put someone on Malazan at the set. My inlfuence continues to grow more evil >:).
One of my poems got accepted into a local zine!!! Itโs part of an arts association club in my city! It makes me very happy and Iโm excited to see it pop up!
Talked to a really sweet career advisor that gave me some great advice! Helped alliviate a lot of that exestential dread Iโve been having related to my career and purpose in life. Also helps that I got a new position the day before that too!
Toll the Hounds keeps getting to me. Scorch and Leff might be the dumbest characters Erikson has ever created, which says a lot. There was a scene between Berathol and Mallet that made me tear up. The two talking about ice cream, with Mallet mentioning how as a kid it used to be so much cheaper to get. Barathol imagines Mallet as a kid for half a second and smiles. The earnestness and sweetness of the moment had me cry a little :โ). Karsa walking up to the insane tyrant of the constantly moving empire ran by slaves, and said tyrant instantly losing all his magic and basically killing himself was really funny to me. Tarvold Nom continues to be my favourite character ever, heโs such a cunning little shit but I love him. Nimander continues to impress me.
Started D20โs Starstruck Odyssey. Been constantly cracking me up, while still having a very coherent story. Renting rooms out of a spaceship might be one of the greatest bits ever.
